SUMMARY:Fashion Flip: After School Club
DESCRIPTION:Fashion Flip is a sustainable fashion programme for young people aged 8-14. \nWe’ll be reimagining\, reworking and repairing clothes sitting unloved at the back of your wardrobe\, with the aim of getting them back into heavy rotation again. \nDuring the 4-week course\, you will gain skills in design\, sewing\, clothes repair and upcycling\, get to know more about the impacts of fast fashion and be inspired by the creative ways you can take action. \nThis is not a structured course\, but rather an opportunity to bring your creative ideas to life\, with the help of our tutors. You’ll go away with skills for life and a collection of creative techniques to refer back to for your future fashion flips. We can’t wait to see what you come up with! \nDuring the final session\, we’ll celebrate everything you’ve achieved by putting together a display of everyone’s finished pieces in our upstairs gallery window. This will be open to the public to view for two weeks – you’re welcome to invite friends and family to come and see it and show off the results of your hard work. \nEach participant will receive a £4.50 voucher to spend in our Textile Reuse Shop to continue their new found skills\, with scrap bags starting at 50p per bag. \n\n\n\nLevel: Beginner\, Intermediate
