Wellbeing Tuesdays

Stretford Children’s Theatre’s aim is to elevate local children and young people through the performing arts; and to enrich their community through public productions. They achieve this aim through providing affordable, high-quality weekly drama sessions for local children/young people (aged 4-16yrs).

Stretford Children’s Theatre believe all young people in the community should have access to high-quality drama and musical experiences – to develop their talent and potential, increase their independence and well-being, and expand local creative opportunities.

The Children’s Theatre is based here at Stretford Public Hall and delivers high-quality, affordable, accessible and fun drama and choir sessions each week during term-time. The sessions are attended by approximately 100 local children and young people aged 4-16 years.

Sessions are delivered by professional theatre and music practitioners who are specialists in working with different age groups. Fees are deliberately low to ensure sessions are as accessible to as many children as possible.

Stretford Children’s Theatre was originally founded in 1945 by Bertram H. Holland and was embedded in the community for more than 35 years. After ceasing to exist in the early 1980’s, the Theatre re-formed as a registered charity in 2015.
