DESCRIPTION:Relax and de-stress after a busy day with our evening yoga class.  The suggested entry price for this class is £5 and is based on what you might pay for a similar class elsewhere. If you are able to pay this price\, helps us keep these classes going and affordable for all.  Open to all abilities\, our evening yoga sessions are open to everyone and will help you to improve your strength and flexibility\, along with reducing stress and strengthening your immune system and general wellbeing. \nThe suggested entry price for this class is £5 and is based on what you might pay for a similar class elsewhere. If you are able to pay this price\, helps us keep these classes going and affordable for all. \nPay what you can\nAll our Wellbeing Tuesday classes and events are ‘pay what you can’ basis. This means that everyone regardless of finances\, can access events and activities here at Stretford Public Hall and everyone will always get the same experience. \nEach class will have a suggested entry price based on what similar classes in the area cost to attend. If you are able to pay this price\, it will help us to keep this programme of events running for the future. SUMMARY:Dance for Parkinsons
DESCRIPTION:Dance for Parkinson’s brings their award-winning dance program to Stretford Public Hall every Wednesday from 12 pm.\nIt is run by Lewis Bailey who is the Dance Teacher and Exercise Provider for the Parkinson’s group. He has over 20 years of experience as a Latin and Ballroom dancer and thoroughly enjoys teaching others to dance. \nThe class is for anyone affected by Parkinson’s. The dance for Parkinson’s class is a great way to get the body moving in a fun and inclusive environment. Dancing is known to reduce stress and alleviate physical and emotional pressures from the body and is therefore cited as being one of the best forms of exercise to take part in. \nThe class involves a number of warm up activities which range from breathing exercises\, stretches for the body\, and movement sequences. We then move onto some Latin and Ballroom steps\, or some creative movement to music. It caters for a wide range of abilities and the class can be done seated throughout if required. \nIS THERE A CHARGE \nNo\, all classes are funded by the Trafford branch of Parkinson’s UK \nDO I NEED TO BOOK\nNo\, just turn up 10 minutes before the class is due to start.

DESCRIPTION:Sports Yoga – Emma Howard \nUsing a mixture of classic Sivananda Yoga postures and techniques involving balance and control\, breath and release and Sports Yoga Emma has created a style of yoga that seeks to work as R and R (rehab and recuperation)\, somantic stretches while building strength and conditioning while aiming to seek further ROM (range of movement). \nThis class is a General Class for age 14 upwards and abilities and new students will be offered a brief 1-1 tutorial as part of the fee to ensure safe practice. \nEmma works with a range of elite athletes and movement specialists including several major sports clubs in the North West\, has taught Yoga for over 25 years and is trained and qualified in Sivananda\, Ashtanga\, Sports Yoga\, Meditation\, Thai Massage and Yoga Therapy. \nHer classes are accessible with students reporting improved well being\,  balance\, control\, strength and ROM. \n\nPrebooked month block class @£8 per class per month or £10 drop in.
