DESCRIPTION:Dance for Parkinson’s brings their award-winning dance program to Stretford Public Hall every Wednesday from 12 pm.\nIt is run by Lewis Bailey who is the Dance Teacher and Exercise Provider for the Parkinson’s group. He has over 20 years of experience as a Latin and Ballroom dancer and thoroughly enjoys teaching others to dance. \nThe class is for anyone affected by Parkinson’s. The dance for Parkinson’s class is a great way to get the body moving in a fun and inclusive environment. Dancing is known to reduce stress and alleviate physical and emotional pressures from the body and is therefore cited as being one of the best forms of exercise to take part in. \nThe class involves a number of warm up activities which range from breathing exercises\, stretches for the body\, and movement sequences. We then move onto some Latin and Ballroom steps\, or some creative movement to music. It caters for a wide range of abilities and the class can be done seated throughout if required. \nIS THERE A CHARGE \nNo\, all classes are funded by the Trafford branch of Parkinson’s UK \nDO I NEED TO BOOK\nNo\, just turn up 10 minutes before the class is due to start.

This class is carefully curated for mums to come along with their baby for a good stretch\, gentle strengthening\, and relaxation\, along with feel-good vibes. \nWe offer a fully inclusive space for mums to bring along their little one and have a play space and sensory toys for them so you can stretch out and take a breather. \nAll of our movements are designed with the postpartum body in mind and our class is aimed at mums\, though at times we do yoga which includes the babies. \nFollowing class\, we have a 30-minute social where we can have a cuppa\, some biscuits\, and make connections and have conversations with like-minded people. \nMums are welcome to join 6-8 weeks following an uncomplicated vaginal birth\, or 10-12 weeks following a C-Section with medical professional sign off. \n\nEvery week\nNo equipment needed – just come along in comfortable clothing. DESCRIPTION:Kick off your day with some yoga with Gaynor Mullin. Gaynor has been running our Tuesday yoga classes since we started Wellbeing Tuesdays. Open to all abilities – this inclusive class\, will help you to improve your strength and flexibility\, along with reducing stress and strengthening your immune system and general wellbeing. \nThe suggested donation for this class is £5 and is based on what you might pay for a similar class elsewhere. If you are able to donate it helps us keep these classes going and affordable for all. \nPay what you can\nAll our Wellbeing Tuesday classes and events are ‘pay what you can’ basis. This means that everyone regardless of finances\, can access events and activities here at Stretford Public Hall and everyone will always get the same experience. \nEach class will have a suggested donation based on what similar classes in the area cost to attend. If you are able to donate this price\, it will help us to keep this programme of events running for the future. Join us at Stretford Public Hall on the last Sunday of every month\, from 10am to 12pm\, for our Repair Café. \nOur team of skilled volunteers can help support you to fix a range of items – from small electricals and household gadgets to clothes and more. It’s a great way to reduce waste\, learn new skills\, and connect with your local community over a cuppa. \nNo need to book – just drop in! We strongly recommend arriving by 10am to make sure there is enough time for you to be seen by one of our volunteers. \nRepairs are free\, but donations are welcome to help keep the café running. \nTo find out more information about what repairs will be possible at each cafe\, please check our socials or give us a call on 0161 9891689.
