Culture Champions Trafford was an age-friendly cultural engagement programme for people over 50. The project was funded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), as part of their Great Place GM programme.
Culture Champions gave older people the opportunity to plan and deliver their own projects, activities and events based on their needs and interests. Participants organised a diverse and exciting range of projects, including an LGBTQ cabaret for over 50s, bike repair workshops, tea-tasting afternoons, and a street art project celebrating Stretford’s local heroes.
