FGM – 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

December 2, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), sometimes called female circumcision or female genital cutting, is a global problem and a controversial issue. TRC are pleased to be hosting an event within the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence. The event is focusing on FGM and aims to educate on the impact of FGM and the action to take to protect women and girls who may be at risk.

We have two prestigious speakers within the field, Hibo Wardere and Dr Peggy Mulongo.  There will be time for questions, after the presentations.

There will be some information stalls from organisations that operate locally, including NESTAC, BHA and Safety4Sisters.

The event will include a networking lunch.
