A classical guitar recital with Richard Haslam

This July, we welcome Richard Haslam to Stretford Public hall for a very special classical guitar recital.

 

Join us on the 17th of July for a unique and intimate 60-minute performance by this highly accomplished Manchester-based guitarist. It will be followed by an opportunity to share an informal discussion with Richard.

 

This promises to be an afternoon full of colour and variety, demonstrating Richard’s range and versatility with the guitar. Featuring works by Sor, Barrios, Villa-Lobos, Ryan, and Dowland

Doors will be at 2 pm, with the recital starting at 2:30 pm.

 

The Friends Of Stretford Public Hall bar will be open throughout for refreshments and as always all proceeds will go towards the running and restoration of the hall.

About Richard Haslam

Richard Haslam is a Derbyshire-born classical guitarist, based in Manchester. He completed a post-graduate degree in music performance at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, under the tutelage of Australian guitarist Craig Ogden in 2017, having previously earned a BA (Hons) in music from the University of Hull in 2013.

Since completing his studies, Richard has given recitals as both a soloist and within a variety of ensembles. He teaches for Trafford Music Service in Greater Manchester as an instrumental tutor, where his role includes: individual and group lessons, leading ensembles, and delivering wider opportunities programs to whole year groups within primary schools.
