Family Film Passport ‘Like Stars on Earth (PG)

August 6 @ 1:30 pm - 5:30 pm

This week, the Family Film Passport takes us to India with a screening of ‘Like Stars on Earth’ (PG) where we meet Ishaan, an 8 year old boy who struggles with dyslexia.
This is an Autism Friendly screening with support from ‘I AM’.

The screening will begin at 2.00pm. Crafting activities are available throughout the screening. There will be a 30 minute interval where I AM will guide us in an exchange about ‘inclusion’ for autism, what it looks and feels like.

About Family Film Passport:

Join us for 4 weeks of family friendly international cinema in the heart of Stretford, weekly on Wednesday afternoons in August.

Travel the world through film this summer. Join us at Stretford Public Hall for a magical series of family-friendly international films, each paired with workshops and crafting activities delivered by our community partners and inspired by the culture or themes on screen.

Book your tickets for each screening at just £3.50, pick up your passport from us, collect a stamp at every screening, and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming cinema experience designed for families with children aged 3–11.

This Project is supported by Film Hub North with National Lottery Funding on behalf of BFI Film Audience Network

What is an Autism Friendly Screening?

This event has been designed to provide a relaxed, inclusive and supportive cinema experience for neurodiverse children and their families. All families are welcome to this screening, and we hope that neurotypical families will gain an awareness of neurodiversity through this screening.
