About the Artist:
Fiona Daniel was born in 1983 in Burnley, in Lancashire, England. From a young age, she was drawn to music and started playing the drums when she was 12 years old. By the time she was in her teens, Fiona had already formed her own band and was playing gigs in local venues.
In 2003, Fiona moved to Manchester to pursue her music career. She quickly became a well-known figure in the music scene, playing drums in various bands, performing at venues and touring across the world.
In addition to playing the drums, Fiona also developed a passion for DJing. She loved the idea of curating the perfect playlist for a crowd and creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Her love for electronic music and her talent as a DJ made her a sought-after performer at clubs and events around Manchester.
Alongside her passion for music, Fiona has a love for geometry and mathematics. She is fascinated by the way shapes and patterns can be created using simple mathematical concepts. This interest in geometry led her to discover string art, allowing her to combine her love for music, geometry, and art in a unique and creative way. Fiona quickly became obsessed with string art, spending experimenting with different patterns and designs. Her designs are inspired by everything from nature to music to mathematical concepts.
Encouraged by friends and family, Fiona has started exhibiting her string art in small galleries around Manchester. She continues to play the drums and DJ at events and venues across Manchester, drawing inspiration from music and using it to create intricate and beautiful string art pieces.
