Ruddigore – The West Yorkshire Savoyards

The West Yorkshire Savoyards will be making their first visit to Stretfrod Public Hall on Saturday 21st September at 7.30pm with their acclaimed touring production of the comic opera, Ruddigore.

Expect all the familiar G&S elements: terrific music, social satire, comic pathos — but with a seasoning of sinister spectres! A family curse means a baronet must commit a crime every day or perish.

In trying to escape his fate, he encounters dancing sailors, frustrated bridesmaids and a chorus of ghostly ancestors. Be prepared for laughs, thrills and fabulous music in this touring semi staged and fully costumed production, directed by Graham Weston and  musical director, Oliver Longstaff.
