STRETFORD STRIDE – Parade Picnic Disco

Stretford STRIDE is an event, a first of its kind! An afternoon of events designed to empower, unite and celebrate the women and girls living in North Trafford.

Come for a bit, come for it all. Activities start and end at Stretford Public Hall.

Afternoon Activities

3.30 – 4pm 

• Purple Parade Styling – Free

Come and grab something purple and fabulous to wear from our dressing up box!

Items have been co-created by women and girls in our community to be worn at the parade.

4 – 5.30pm

• Purple Parade & Picnic – Free

Walk with us to Victoria Park for a picnic. 

If possible, please wear purple. If you wish to borrow items, please turn up at 3.30pm for the styling session. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Taking part in the walk is at your own risk. Into the Evening

6 – 9pm 

• Women & Girls Disco – Tickets £6 (Other ticket options include ‘Pay what you can’, Concession, ‘Pay it forward’ and limited free tickets)

Join us for an evening of dancing in the Ballroom with DJ Misscotheque

Tickets are required for entry to the Disco, Women and Girls 11+ 

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult

Stretford STRIDE is a collaborative, community arts project involving three Stretford based organisations; Stretford Street Art Club, Emerald LENS CIC and SCA32. Our project is funded by Greater Manchester Moving and part of the Rights to the Streets incentive exploring ways to make streets and public spaces safer and more welcoming for women and girls in North Trafford.
