The Magic of Serotonin: Nutrition, Neuroscience, Yoga & Breath Workshop
November 28 @ 6:15 pm - 8:45 pm
Serotonin is a magical neurotransmitter, and it’s in short supply in our dopamine-chasing modern world.
These two neurotransmitters compete for uptake in the brain, and dopamine takes precedence over serotonin.
Low serotonin is involved in a lot more than low mood. When we are low in serotonin, we may find that we lack appetite control, we have cravings for sugar and other refined carbs, or we engage in other addictive behaviours. We may also experience anxiety and poor sleep, and our gut may be sluggish.
Serotonin enables us to be present and enjoy the moment. Find out how to support your serotonin levels , the molecule that mediates contentment, happiness and optimism, through nutrition, movement and breath.
