Trafford Reverse Job Fair

Supported Internships are a work-based study programme for 16-24 year old young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. They offer the opportunity for young people to experience real work placements with the aim to progress into sustainable, paid employment.

We are looking for local businesses to come along, have a cup of tea and chat to the interns at our first ever reverse job fair

Our 2023/2024 interns are currently on their second placement, and would love to speak to you and your organisation about the skills they have learned and what they can bring to your team.

WHAT IS THE REVERSE JOBS FAIR?

A Reverse Jobs Fair gives potential employees a platform to showcase their skills and abilities to visiting employers. Each young person has their own station which they have prepared in advance for the event.

It is an alternative recruitment route into employability for young people who may find traditional job fairs inaccessible and intimidating.

It is an opportunity for interns to talk to you and you to them in a less formal, more relaxed setting.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FOR YOU?

• Meet multiple candidates, hear about the skills, and experience our talented interns have gained in a relaxed, less formal setting.

There is no obligation for you to offer employment/apprenticeship

Light refreshments will be available. Stretford public Hall has step-free access and the event is held on the ground floor. Music will not be played and there will be chairs available at each station if employers want to sit for conversations with our interns. There will be several staff members on hand to support from Pure Innovations and Trafford Council.
