We are a charitable Community Benefit Society (CBS), registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act. Our aim is to serve the interests of the local community, beyond our own membership.
We also have exclusively charitable object and a charitable asset lock. An asset lock is a rule which prevents members from making a capital gain by selling or closing the business for a profit. This means the hall will never fall into private ownership.
