Volunteer at Stretford Public Hall

Stretford Public Hall exists because local people came together to save it – and volunteers are still at the heart of everything we do. Today, a large team of volunteers help us run the building day‑to‑day, support our events and activities, and make sure your Hall stays open, welcoming and full of life.

As one of Trafford’s six Community Hubs, we also support residents who need a bit of extra help. Our volunteers play a crucial role in this work, offering time, kindness and practical support to the community.

Our Board is made up entirely of volunteers too. They bring their skills, experience and passion to guide the Hall’s future and make sure we’re always working for the benefit of Stretford.

We’re often looking for new volunteers to join our team. There are lots of ways to get involved, and we welcome enthusiastic people age 18+ – no previous experience needed.
