A right royal knees-up

We’re thrilled to be throwing a party to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, on Thursday 2nd June.

In true street party fashion, we’ll have rows of tables lining the street (well, the car park in our case) and so we’re inviting you to bring along picnics for that proper community feel. There will also be food available from Bakehouse Pizza and Dev’s ice cream company will be serving delicious treats in cones from his ice cream van.

We have a fantastic line-up of music from special guests Stretford Band, a brass band of 20, who will be bringing those brassy vibes, Pantasy Steel Band, who will be playing a mix of traditional Caribbean Music and as well more well-known songs by artists such as Bob Marley and UB40, and Supernature Disco, who will be playing house and disco from their eclectic vinyl collection.

The party begins at 12pm and we’ll be celebrating until 7pm. The bar will be open to quench your thirst, as usual all bar proceeds go towards the running and restoration of Stretford Public Hall.

There will be a craft tent for crown and bunting-making workshops. The bunting made on the day will be given to our friends over at Victoria Park’ for their Jubilee celebration on Sat 11th June – so keep your eyes peeled for this event too.

** The first batch of tickets have now been snapped up but we will be releasing more tickets soon **

We are grateful to the Arts Council and Forever Manchester for the funding which is making this event possible.

We look forward to celebrating with you soon!
