Celebrating our volunteers at Stretford Public Hall

It’s volunteers week!

You know we’re all about the volunteers here at Stretford Public Hall. Our organisation only exists thanks to members of our local community who banded together in their spare time with a vision to bring the hall back into public use. This week we’re celebrating our current hardworking volunteer team – we couldn’t make good things happen in Stretford without them. Check out our display when you’re in the hall this week.

We have over 100 volunteers and between them they’ve given nearly 4,000 hours of their time in the last year alone.
They’ve helped nearly 5,000 members of our community to access support, exercise, fun, gardening, craft and music.
Next week they’re getting together in our ballroom with other volunteers from across Stretford for a well-deserved celebration social.

Two of our volunteers have kindly shared their experiences of volunteering as part of Trafford’s volunteers’ week celebrations. Thank you to Devon and Tina!
