Community cinema celebrates The King

Elvis has arrived, and we’re bringing it to a big screen near you. This biographical musical drama looks at the life, successes, and struggles of the ‘King of Rock and Roll.

Described by film critic Mark Kermode as a ‘blistering pop biopic combines the kinetic musical madness of Moulin Rouge! with the turbo-charged irreverence of The Great Gatsby, the Shakespearian tragedy of Romeo + Juliet.’

What more could you want from movie? Probably not a lot, so come and get all shook up with us and see electrifying performances from Austin Butler as Elvis and Tom Hanks as Colonel Parker.

We’ll keep your toes tapping, legs kicking, and arms swinging after the film with a soundtrack session, where you can get another drink, have a dance and discuss the film

The bar will be open serving wine, beer, prosecco, soft drinks, and popcorn. All bar proceeds will go towards the running and restoration of Stretford Public Hall.

Doors & bar will be open from 6:30 pm, with screening starting at 7:00 pm.

The standard ticket price is £6 but there are also concessions available and a small number of free tickets. If you can afford to, you can also ‘pay it forward’ and give someone else the chance to attend.
