Dementia Disco is back – and needs your support!

Our next Dementia Disco returns to the hall on Friday 16th June, from 5pm.
Dementia Disco is a free-to-attend disco for people with dementia, their carers, family and friends.
Unlike most other dementia groups that run during working hours, the discos are held in the evenings and at weekends, and are open to friends and family. Discos are also an opportunity to give carers a rest, as they can stay at home and have a family member or friend bring the person with dementia to the disco.
Thanks to generous funding from an Older People’s Wellbeing grant from Trafford Council, we have been able to run three discos at the hall. The first two have been a brilliant success and we’re looking forward to the next one in June.
The discos are largely run by volunteers but some funding is needed to cover the free hot meal and running costs. We are looking for local businesses who might be interested in supporting future Dementia Discos at the hall.
Is your company or employer looking for a local good cause to support or sponsor? Or are you a local food business that might be able to support with hot meals?
Please contact Kate if you can help us to continue these brilliant monthly events kate@stretfordpublichall.org.uk.
