Get switched on with Digital John

Do you switch off when someone suggests you look online? Do you feel you are excluded or you can’t access vital information because you’re not confident in using the internet?

We want to help you get switched on!

In order to access local information and government support, being online seems essential. At Stretford Public Hall, we understand that the digital world is hard to navigate and we don’t think anyone should be excluded just because they don’t understand how to get online.

We often support people who don’t have email addresses and who avoid using the internet, and as a community organisation, we feel that the best way to help local people is to increase the amount of digital support we offer.

From now on, Digital John, our resident online support expert, will be at the hall every Tuesday between 10am and 12 noon. He will be here to help you, your friends and family members get online.

Our extra support is motivated by Get Online Week, which is taking place from Monday 16th to Sunday 22nd October. This is an annual campaign which hosts hundreds of free digital skills events to help people get online safely, confidently and affordably. Find out more about Get Online Week here
