Would you like to help shape the future of our work here at Stretford Public Hall?
We are looking for a new Chair of the Board to lead our organisation and help guide Friends of Stretford Public Hall through the next few years of development and growth.
After over three years at the helm, and as one of the co-founders of the campaign to save the hall, our Chair Dan Williamson has decided it’s time to pass on the baton to someone new.
This is an exciting time to join the organisation and build on the numerous successes to date and lead the organisation into a new phase of activity, overseeing operations and policies in place as well as planning for the future.
Key Responsibilities of the Chair:
- To lead on strategic development, business planning and the delivery of board responsibilities.
- To provide line management support to the hall’s manager through a strong working relationship through setting clear objectives.
- To work on succession planning, recruiting, and developing board members.
- To oversee organisational development, facilitating and sustaining board processes, including leading on improving on governance practice.
- To chair regular board meetings and occasionally subgroup meetings, ensuring effective debate and collective decision-making
