Join us in celebrating International Women’s Day

Next week we are celebrating International Women’s Day with two events which highlight the strength, talent, creativity, and passion of women in our community and beyond.

Women’s Night Walk and After party, Friday 11th March (Walk 6.45pm / After party 7.30pm)

The Women’s Night Walk is all about reclaiming green spaces and highlighting women’s safety. The walk will begin at Ryebank Fields, follow a route through Longford park, and on to Stretford Public Hall for the After party. Meet from 6.30pm at the main gate to Ryebank Fields, Longford Road, Chorlton, M21 9WW.

The party will begin with a performance from the Women Asylum Seekers Together (WAST) Choir in our pocket park, then we’ll head up to the ballroom for live music from the band Poppy Cock, followed by a dance performance by Mazazik. And we’ll continue the party with dancing and drinks!
