Women walk to reclaim the night

A huge thank you to everyone who joined our Women’s Night Walk on Friday 3rd December.

The walk was organised in partnership with Women of Ryebank Fields and the Greater Manchester branch of the Women’s Equality Party. It was part of our 16 days of activism, to mark the UN Campaign to End Violence Against Women. The walk began in Ryebank Fields, before crossing Turn Moss Playing Fields and passing through Longford Park.

It ended with a candlelit vigil in the pocket park next to Stretford Public Hall, where the names of the 108 women murdered so far in 2021 were read out.

The evening ended with an after party at the hall, featuring performances by Sarah Haim and the Poppycocks.
