Our dear friend Beryl Guest

We’re deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our much-loved volunteer, Beryl Guest.
Beryl was a truly special part of Stretford Public Hall. She and her husband Sid were among the very first volunteers to get involved when our community took over the building in 2015. Their connection to the Hall ran deep — Beryl and Sid were even married here, making this place not just a community hub, but part of their personal story too.
Warm, welcoming, and always ready with a kind word, Beryl was a joy to be around. She brought light and laughter to every room, and her presence will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her — especially her friends in the Stretford Singers, our community choir, where she was a cherished member.
Beryl gave so much of her time and spirit to this place, and we’ll always be grateful for everything she shared with us. A funeral will be held on Monday 14th July. Please get in touch with us directly for details of the time and location.
We send our heartfelt condolences to Sid and all of Beryl’s loved ones.
