Rebel Dykes: Trafford Pride film screening

We are delighted to be showing the film Rebel Dykes (18) at Stretford Public Hall on 21st May, as part of this year’s Trafford Pride.

Rebel Dykes is a documentary set in 1980’s post-punk London. It tells the story of a group of dykes who met doing art, music, politics and sex, and how they went on to change their world. .

A heady mash-up of animation, archive footage and interviews tells the story of a radical scene: squatters, BDSM* nightclubs, anti-Thatcher rallies, protests demanding action around AIDS, and the fierce ties of chosen family.

The screening will be followed by a soundtrack session, we will be playing all the songs from the film, so you can have a dance and enjoy a drink!

Doors & bar will be open on the night from 7pm, with screening starting at 7.30pm.

The standard ticket price is £6, but there are also concessions available and a small number of free tickets.

If you would like to, you can ‘pay it forward’ which gives someone else the chance to attend.
