Manga meet-ups in August

Children aged 9 to 14 years are invited to join a series of Manga meet-ups which will be held on Monday 1st, 8th, 22nd and 29 August, from 1pm – 2.30pm.

A session facilitator will be present to give artistic advice. All materials required will be provided by Stretford Public Hall.

To take part in these sessions you will need to pre-book a ticket. Tickets are £3 each. Book your ticket here.

Art course (3 sessions)

Join us for a new art course for young people aged 9 -13 years.

The course consists of three linked sessions, which can only be booked as a whole. Sessions will be held on Tuesday 2nd, 9th and 16 August, and will run from 10am to 12 noon each day.

In these sessions you will be taught how to paint in the style of Greater Manchester artist, Liam Spencer, who is known for his vivid portrayals of urban landscapes, particularly of Manchester.

In sessions 1 and 2, the course leader, Julie, will be examining the techniques of drawings, painting and mixed media.

In session 3, Julie will be giving guidance to help you create your final art piece.

Tickets for this art course are £27. You can book here

We look forward to seeing many young people at these creative summer activities. You don’t have to be an artist to give it a try – your enthusiasm and curiosity are all that’s needed!
