Supporting Stretford residents through crisis

Stretford Community Support Hub provides vital support to local people every weekday. On Tuesdays, Stretford Public Hall hosts the Stretford Advice Hub from 9:30am, bringing together over 20 organisations offering guidance on housing, energy, budgeting, and more. We also run a Job Club from 10:00am to 12:00pm to support those seeking employment. All alongside our free café run by volunteers.

In the coming months, we will be placing a particular focus on energy advice and helping residents manage the ongoing cost of living challenges.

Since 2021, the Hub has distributed the Government’s Household Support Fund, which came to an end in mid-March. Through this funding, we have been able to support our most vulnerable neighbours with essential items such as washing machines, beds, heaters, clothing, shoes, and food.

Thanks to our strong community reach and ability to support those most in need, from mid-April we have been selected to distribute a new, smaller grant: the Crisis and Resilience Fund.
