Thriving Communities Trafford

Thriving Communities Trafford is an exciting community health and wellbeing project, funded by the Arts Council and led by Stretford Public Hall. The hall is working alongside St John’s Centre and the North Trafford Primary Care Network, and six other local community groups, to improve access to community activities for local residents.

The project will bring together community groups and local residents to design community-based activities that promote health and wellbeing. The resulting diverse projects will be delivered by eight different local groups: Be Bolder; Cyril Flint; Friends of Victoria Park; Old Trafford Creative Space; Rehoboth for Families; String of Heart; the Trafford Urban Fitness Collective; and Stretford Public Hall. The projects will support people through exercise, advice, art, outdoor activities and much more.

The aim of ‘Thriving Communities Trafford’ is to improve social prescribing across North Trafford. For more information about social prescribing and other projects funded by the Thriving Communities programme, visit the Academy for Social Prescribing website.
