Women’s Walk and Disco

On Saturday 25 November, we invite you to join us to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The first event will be a ‘Women’s Walk, Roll and Run’, starting at 6.45pm, when we will be walking together from Longford Park Athletic Stadium to Stretford Public Hall to demand an end to violence against women and girls. Please arrive at the stadium by 6.45pm, and we will begin the walk at 7pm.

Then at 7.30pm, we will be offering free warm drinks and nibbles at the public hall.

At 8pm, we will be unveiling a brand new, beautifully embroidered banner which illustrates the ‘freedom of women’ theme. The banner has been made collaboratively by women who attended textile classes, led by Karen Nolan. The classes were held at the hall during the summer months.

This will be followed by a Women’s Disco, from 8pm until 11pm, with great music provided by DJs Susan Kerr and The People’s Princess.

You will need to book to attend the disco. Tickets can be booked here: Women’s Disco

Come and enjoy a great night out and help make a positive difference to the lives of women and girls.
