Free creative writing & performance workshops begin

Stretford Public Hall and Young Identity are collaborating to bring you a brand new workshop series. If you’re already an avid writer or just curious about self-expression, join us for a series of creative workshops. If you’re interested in developing your poetry, lyricism, storytelling or journaling, or would like to meet other local young creatives, this is for you. Lead by BBC Words First winner (2020), UNESCO Slam-O-Vision winner (2021) and Young Identity poet and facilitator Jardel Rodrigues.
No pressure, no experience needed, just come as you are.

Jardel Rodrigues, known for his brilliantly technical work, an award winning multimedia Young Identity performance poet whose work spans page poetry, live performance and recorded music.Jardel is commissioned both locally and internationally from the BBC, Factory International, Greater Manchester Fringe and Manchester Histories, to Schaubuehne Berlin. His work ‘Thanks, Boss’ has most recently been featured on Channel 4’s ‘Random Acts’, with new singles ‘Marge’s Yard’ and ‘SHARKS’ out on Spotify now.
